Charles Geerts

Antwerp, 1805 – Leuven, 1883

Born in Antwerp in 1807, Charles Henri Geerts was a Belgian sculptor of the neo-Gothic style, renowned for his refined busts and public monuments. He trained at the Antwerp Academy from 1824 to 1833, where he won first prize in anatomy.
