Columns

Since 1985 the Artimo Fine Arts gallery has been buying columns on the international scene and has built up an unrivalled collection of 19th century and early 20th century columns in rare marble from exhausted marble quarries in all colours, sizes and styles.

Although a large majority of our pedestals are made of marble, we also have pedestals in alabaster, onyx, wood and even scagliola.

We believe that to optimally display a sculpture it must be presented  on a specially designed column from the same period. A column is a work of art in itself, designed and made by marble workshops, bronze foundries, chiselers and gilders with the sole purpose of suiting the scultpture. 

All our pedestals, are thoroughly revised in our specialised workshops and inventoried in order to be able to offer our clients the perfect column for every sculpture.
